SYNOPSISIn 1755, a French mage named Rinaldo Trois-Echelles sought to create, with his disciples, a utopia from the burgeoning, newly established city-fort and trading center of Ville-Marie, soon to become known as Montreal. While his plans went awry after disaster struck, his dream lives on in modern nights.

The Tremere Regent Fletcher, having discovered Trois-Echelles' manuscripts, has turned his childer and true love Elise into a living embodiment of the Mage's rituals through a series of arcane tattoos. As the ritual inked in her flesh begins to reactivate Trois-Echelles' dormant dream for the city, and drawing to her a number of interested factions, the Kindred of Montreal begin to see their world change, and sense great conflict on the edge of the night.

Every Kindred in the city plays their role, and in their own way begin to fulfill the long-dormant dream of utopia held by the shattered soul of the mage Trois-Echelles - just as opposing forces begin to marshal their strengths, intent of turning the beautiful, vibrant city of Montreal into a desolate, decayed urban landscape...
