The 5e source book includes the Vistani people, who in previous publications included lousy stereotypes about the Romani people, nomadic and Gypsy folks, and racist tropes to depict the Vistani people. The 2016 module, 'Curse of Strahd Revamped' and 'Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft,' a year later all give a better portrayal.
